Iniesta confident of two more years in Barça starting XI

Iniesta confident of two more years in Barça starting XI

Gerard Pique has revealed how the wrath of Roy Keane gave him an early and intimidating insight into life at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Having returned to his boyhood club from a four-year spell with Manchester United, Pique had won the Champions League in two of his first three seasons. "Earlier this season, when we were already 8 or 9 points clear of Real Madrid in the league, I started a special group for some of the guys on the Spanish national team who play for Real Madrid and Barcelona".

Pique has now created a chat group that has the sole purpose of allowing Barca's Spanish players to troll their Madrid counterparts.

"It's dead quiet. All of a sudden, you could hear this little vibration".

"All we do in that group is talk sh*t to one another about Barca and Real!"

La Liga star forward has reportedly asked his suitors and his current club to make their minds up about his future before the 2018 world cup. We sound like children!

"Imagine it - I'm 18 years old, and I'm sitting in that little dressing room putting on my socks next to Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand". "We're just like little kids". By his own admission in a post for The Players' Tribune, he was 'almost f*cked' because he was so green and sheltered.

"Last season, when the Real guys were winning everything, they were feeling pretty good".

He has been linked with a move to China, while clubs in England would also be interested in one of the most decorated players in recent history. They were talking s**t constantly whenever I saw them at national team training.

Iniesta helped turn the 2006 Champions League final on its head as a half-time substitute, with Barcelona coming back from 1-0 down to beat Arsenal.

'They were smiling and flexing their muscles like The Rock and saying #HalaMadrid and posting little trophy emojis.

Once a seemingly untouchable name on the teamsheet, Iniesta has found his playing time this season limited because of injuries and the signing of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, with the 25-year-old Brazilian regarded as Iniesta's long-term successor at the Nou Camp.

On a potential destination if he does call time on his Barca career, Iniesta added: "All scenarios are possible, all scenarios are possible where Barca do not compete (against the new club)".

The deal sees Pique's buyout clause at a staggering £441 million so anyone willing to get his services before 2022 will have to pay that much. 'Three points today. We must keep working harder!'

We've all got them: that one mate in the group chat who lives for the dig; for the rustle; for the ferocious troll heat - that one mate you can't really remember why you're mates with.
