Why Wasn't Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Last Jedi More?

HuffPost reported that the unidentified leader had other issues with the Rian Johnson-directed film as well. They need to love them. I just wish that its novel form had done more to expand on the story of The Last Jedi rather than cash in on its fans' curiosity.

Let's start at the beginning, shall we?

John will no doubt be glad to have a little time off after completing a whirlwind press tour for the latest Star Wars movie, the follow-up to 2015's The Force Awakens.

But there's some kind of indifference or hostility to "Last Jedi" that I don't get. Anakin Skywalker failed at that task and became the galaxy's greatest villain.

One of the final offerings to quench the excitement prior to the release of Episode VIII, and part of Disney/Lucasfilm's "Journey to The Last Jedi" Del Rey has released what seems to be the weakest attempt at a Star Wars novel that has passed over my desk. We saw the story of Poe's parents, who were in the rebel alliance, in the comic book miniseries Star Wars: Shattered Empire. R2 has pretty much been deactivated during most of the new trilogy.

On Friday I witnessed the long-awaited new Star Wars movie and walked out of the theater a very happy fan.

If you're one of the vocal haters, Disney should thank you, for you have played right into the giant corporation's hands.

"The Force Awakens, luckily, didn't make Rey, as the sole main woman, become a romantic interest to any character or wear clothes far more revealing than those of her male peers". Some, like Daisy Ridley, see her as a heroine who is all the more important because she's an average person upon whom greatness is thrust. All his ideas involve blowing stuff up and ask questions later. Now that it has already stirred hate between fans and critics and within the "Star Wars" fanbase itself, the petitioner wishes he didn't start the petition in the first place. "Hear Nothing..." comes heavy with multiple references to aliens that kept my brain spinning with each new inclusion, but entered "page-turner" territory once a kidnapping and family drama plot allowed me to connect with the protagonist.

Sometimes we see things go our way and sometimes we don't. If only she had shared her plans, Rose and Finn wouldn't have needed to go look for a master codebreaker and eventually got half of the Resistance killed. Maybe he's Jake Skywalker.

Still, he thought it was missing something.

This isn't the blame of the authors; they did the best they could, given what must have been very strict guidelines from Lucasfilm. That's why we loved him. Ultimately, it is only through the sacrifice of old characters that they survive (Luke, Holdo). Yes, in theory there is a "male version" of that trope, but how often do people actually refer to characters as "Gary Stu"?
