J.D. Martinez gave the Arizona Diamondbacks yet another reason to celebrate Sunday, delivering a walk-off single against the Miami Marlins after the team already clinched a playoff spot during the game.

Arizona was trailing 1-0 in the fourth inning against Miami when the Diamondbacks were assured of one of the NL's two wild card berths.

Arizona entered the day with an 89-66 record and now has a 7.5-game lead over the Brewers with seven games to play.

Se espera que mantenga ese rumbo, aunque con un descenso de la velocidad de traslación, hasta el lunes por la noche. La zona poblada de la que Lee estaba más cerca cuando se emitió el boletín era Bermudas, distante 1.470 km al este.

The D-backs were in the 4th inning of their game with the Miami Marlins Sunday when it was announced the snakes are officially playing in the postseason. That ensures Arizona will finish no lower than the second Wild Card in the National League, a spot currently held by the Colorado Rockies (83-72).

It has been a remarkable bounce-back season for the Diamondbacks, who lost 93 games in 2016 and cleaned house in the front office and dugout, bringing in general manager Mike Hazen and manager Torey Lovullo.

With top players such as Paul Goldschmidt and Jake Lamb leading the offense, this could be a team to fear in the postseason.
